The NFB Announces New iPad App

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) has announced a new app for the iPad, available through iTunes. With the app, users can watch over one thousand NFB films for free. It also allows users to store films for up to forty-eight hours, in case the user is away from a WiFi zone.

It has been over a year since the NFB made all of their films available online for free, a decision that has been quite popular. According to the NFB, they received over 3.5 million views last year, which is an impressive amount of free entertainment. One can only hope that free online film is a trend that continues.
