Adam Sandler and Netflix’s film ‘The Ridiculous 6’ gets a trailer

Netflix sure knows how to pick them…maybe? With Beasts of No Nation premiering two weeks ago in theaters and on the streaming site to substantial praise, the world most likely forgot that Netflix’s next film that they produced and will distribute is anything but their first project. Well, it’s time to be reminded. The first trailer for the Adam Sandler comedy The Ridiculous 6 dropped today, and it may serve as a huge disappointment to viewers who expected Netflix‘s next film to not be this most likely offensive comedy western. Here’s the synopsis:

An outlaw who was raised by Native Americans discovers that he has five half-brothers; together the men go on a mission to find their wayward, deadbeat dad.

The cast is as absurd as the content the trailer provides, with Rob Schneider, Terry Crews, Luke Wilson, Taylor Lautner, and Jorge Garcia playing Sandler’s half brothers and Nick Nolte as their father. The fact that many Native American actors (and even the film’s Native American culture consultant) walked off the set during shooting does not bode well, and brings into question if Netflix will still produce and distribute three more Sandler films, a deal that was made last year. The film also surprisingly stars Steve Buscemi, Will Forte, Blake Nelson, Whitney Cummings, Chris Parnell, Danny Trejo, and Steve Zahn.

The Ridiculous 6 arrives on Netflix December 11. Check out the trailer below:
