‘After Earth’, Shyamalan’s newest foray into science fiction, gets its first trailer

Will Smith has left an indelible mark in all forms of media he’s explored over the past 20 years, be it music, television, or film. In the latter category, he’s become one of a few bankable blockbuster stars currently working in Hollywood, with his latest effort being this summer’s Men In Black III. His next project will see him return to the science fiction genre where he first found film success with 1996’s Independence Day. The film, titled After Earth, is directed by M. Night Shyamalan, who also worked on the screenplay, and sees Smith co-starring with Jaden Smith and Isabelle Fuhrman. The first trailer has now been released, and can be seen below.
