Amy Heckerling and Alicia Silverstone reunite in first trailer for ‘Vamps’
1995’s Clueless remains one of the most beloved teen movies 17 years after its release, making a star out of lead actress Alicia Silverstone, and establishing writer-director Amy Heckerling as talented in her own right, rather than a fortunate recipient of a good Cameron Crowe script for her earlier directorial effort Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The two, however, have not worked together since, and have both slowed down in recent years, with Silverstone emerging from a three year hiatus in 2011, and Heckerling following suit from a five year hiatus in 2012. The dual re-emergence has now yielded a new project that once again puts Silverstone as the lead in a Heckerling-penned and directed feature, titled Vamps, with a supporting cast this time that includes Krysten Ritter, Sigourney Weaver, Justin Kirk, Malcolm McDowell, and Wallace Shawn. The first trailer for the movie has now been released, and can be seen below.
