Writer Jerusha Hess burst onto the Hollywood scene in 2004 with her debut feature Napoleon Dynamite, a sleeper hit that made a star out of lead Jon Heder. While she has written a few more features since then, her next project piqued the interest of her fans as Hess decided to step behind the camera as well. Titled Austenland, the script itself was notable in many ways on its own, as it was Hess’ first script with a female lead, as well as the involvement of bestselling novelist Stephenie Meyer in the writing. The film itself stars Keri Russell, Jennifer Coolidge, Bret McKenzie, Jane Seymour, James Callis, and Georgia King. Now two clips from the movie, which made its debut at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, have been released, and can be seen below.
