Derek Godin is a Montreal-based writer/film buff. There aren't a ton of films he won't watch, though he does gravitate towards talky comedies, heady sci-fi jams, esoteric curios, and animated fare. After innumerable pizza runs and passionate defenses of the 1997 movie Cube, he received his master's degree in Film Studies from Concordia University in 2013. If you are so inclined, you can keep up with his erratic viewing habits over at Letterboxd, or his just-as-erratic thought process on Twitter (username for both is derek_g). He also co-runs the film criticism website Dim the House Lights.
