‘Doctor Who’ gets a new trailer for the upcoming ninth season

Doctor Who

The British series Doctor Who holds the distinction of being one of the longest-running science fiction shows on television, with its first incarnation coming in 1963. Through numerous changes in the lead performers, the show has endured with commercial acclaim, even getting resurrected after a brief cancellation in 2005 by Russell T. Davies.

Last season saw Peter Capaldi take on the titular role of the Doctor, becoming the twelfth person to step into the character’s shoes, and fans were happy to learn of the show’s renewal. Capaldi will be returning once again for the upcoming ninth season, joined once again by Jenna Coleman as companion Clara Oswald, and one of the more notable guest stars of the upcoming season will be Game of Thrones performer Maisie Williams. With the new season set to premiere on September 19th, and Steven Moffat returning once again as showrunner, a new trailer for the upcoming season has now been released, and can be seen below.
