“Just let it in.”
The final trailer for the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens dropped on Monday during Monday Night Football, and while the Giants didn’t look to strong against the visiting Eagles, the trailer previewed what surely will be one of the year’s biggest films. Directed by J.J. Abrams, the film stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, and Gwendoline Christie — with Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker returning.
The trailer offered a lot more of a picture about the characters in the film, highlighting newcomer Daisy Ridley a lot, but still kept us within the cone of secrecy about the story at the heart of the film. We also have yet to see Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker, who was also absent from the official poster.
There isn’t much more to say about this film. It is currently breaking ticket records on most movie ticket websites, and a marathon of all the films has been announced at participating theaters.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens on December 18.
