First trailer for black comedy ‘Dom Hemingway’, starring Jude Law and Richard E. Grant

Dom Hemingway

A first trailer has arrived for the criminal comedy Dom Hemingway, directed by Richard Shepard (The Matador). Jude Law, cast quite against type, plays the bloated ex-con title character, fresh out of 12 year stint in prison. Heading to the south of France to collect what’s he owed from a former crime boss (Demián Bichir), and accompanied by friend Dickie (Richard E. Grant), Dom gets back into old habits, primarily those involving rampant abuse of substances and women. Emilia Clarke and Kerry Condon also co-star.

In an unusually lengthy release gap, Dom Hemingway is opens in the UK this November but not in North America until next Spring; you can check out that UK trailer below. Sound on Sight’s early review of the film from TIFF can be found here.
