First Trailer for ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Does Not Disappoint


Disney has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel Studios sequel Captain America: Civil War which debuted Tuesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), the first film of Marvel’s Phase Three slate picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off as Steve Rogers leads a new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team.

The latest installment of the Marvel series which pits hero against hero was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, Daniel Brühl, and Tom Holland and finally, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther! Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.
