HBO’s ‘The Leftovers’ gets a full trailer for its second season

The Leftovers

HBO has, over the years, garnered a reputation for critically acclaimed programming, with shows such as The Sopranos, Veep, Six Feet Under, and Game of Thrones all airing on the channel at some point. Thus, new series on the channel often pique the interest of television fans, and the 2013-2014 television season was no different in this regard, as one of the channel’s new offerings was a television adaptation of Tom Perrotta’s novel The Leftovers, from Lost co-showrunner Damon Lindelof.

Titled The Leftovers, Perrotta himself is involved in the show as well, which was soon renewed for a second season. The new season, however, will see the setting change from Mapleton, New York to Jarden, Texas. Justin Theroux, Carrie Coon, and Amy Brenneman will be returning to the show, joined by Regina King. The new season is poised to make its debut on October 4th at 9 pm ET, and ahead of the second season premiere, a full trailer has been released, and can be seen below.
