2012’s The Avengers was the culmination of several years of work by Marvel Studios, the production branch behind the comic publishing juggernaut, work that burst onto the scene with the unexpected success of 2008’s Iron Man. Now, as Phase Two of Marvel’s movie plans gets underway, the studios have once again given Tony Stark the lead in rolling out their movies, with the third entry in the series. Iron Man 3 sees Robert Downey Jr. return in the titular role, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle reprising their roles alongside newcomers Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, and Rebecca Hall. Shane Black takes over the director’s chair from Jon Favreau, as well as sharing writing duties with Drew Pearce, and a new trailer has been released, which can be seen below.
