‘Licks’, a gang drama set to debut at SXSW, releases its first trailer

Stories about disenfranchised members of society and the places they come from has been the subject of numerous movies. While filmmakers have tackled the topic with varying levels of success, what someone has to say on the subject remains worth looking out for, and numerous fledgling directors and writers have made their mark with films on the matter. The newest take on this comes from Jonathan Singer-Vine in the form of the drama Licks. The movie marks Singer-Vine’s directorial debut, with a script co-written by Justin “Hongry” Robinson and Singer-Vine. The first trailer for the film, which will be making its debut at the 2013 SXSW Festival, has now been released, and can be seen below.
