I don’t totally blame them for instantly falling in love with Margot Robbie. Or Chris Pine for that matter.

The first trailer for the apocalyptic love story, Z for Zachariah, dropped on Thursday and the Sundance hit seems to be a battle of men who want to win the affection of Robbie. The film also stars Pine and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

The film takes place in the wake of a nuclear war where a young woman survives on her own, fearing she may actually be the proverbial last woman on earth, until she discovers the most astonishing sight of her life: another human being. A distraught scientist, he’s nearly been driven mad by radiation exposure and his desperate search for others. A fragile, imperative strand of trust connects them. But when a stranger enters the valley, their precarious bond begins to unravel.

It is based on a book of the same name by Robert O’Brien and the film is directed by Craig Zobel.

The film has garnered some praise, but our own J.R. Kinnard found it to be boring saying that “Z for Zachariah tries to straddle the line between realistic drama and pandering cheese, only to fail miserably at both.  That lack of commitment and urgency permeates every aspect of the film.

“There are some interesting ideas in play, but they’re nothing more than decoration for a lame love triangle that never generates any heat.”

Z for Zachariah is set to open in theaters on August 20.
