Is it clobbering time yet?
The latest trailer for Fantastic Four dropped on Sunday and offered a much better look at director Josh Trank’s revamp of the superhero squad. The film stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell.
Fantastic Four follows four young scientists achieve superhuman abilities through a teleportation experiment gone haywire. They must now use these abilities to save the world from an uprising tyrant.
This trailer outlines a lot more of the plot and gives an insight into the personalities of all the characters. Teller looks as charming as ever and his chemistry with the rest of the cast (namely Mara and Jordan) looks to be great. While there was a few shots of Doctor Doom and The Thing, it seems like they are still holding off on showing too much of the CGI-heavy characters in the movie.
It was much more refreshing to see this trailer cut loose a little and show that there will be some humor in the film, which is a nice change of pace from the first teaser and the recent Batman v. Superman trailer that seemed like it was serious to the max.
Fantastic Four opens on August 7.
FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
