The latest trailer for the Hunger Games finale was released on Wednesday and focused on the relationship between Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and her sister, Prim (Willow Shields). The film also stars Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore, Natalie Dormer, and Gwendoline Christie.
In this film:
After being symbolized as the “Mockingjay”, Katniss Everdeen and District 13 engage in an all-out revolution against the autocratic Capitol.
The previous trailers for the finale, Mockingjay – Part 2, have highlighted the fight between the Capitol and Katniss, but this one is more for the fans of the series who have watched the franchise grow and read the books. The bond between Katniss and Prim is what propelled the story into action and it will be key as the films come to an end.
Lawrence will be finishing up this series and moving onto a handful of other projects. She is currently co-writing a script with her new BFF, Amy Schumer, and has a new David O. Russell film coming out later this year called Joy. She has also lined up a sci-fi project with Chris Pratt called Passengers and will be teaming with Richard Linklater on The Rosie Project and Steven Spielberg on a wartime photographer biopic.
Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 opens in theaters on November 20.
