What would a Baz Luhrmann film be without the original music crafted for his films? While we’ve seen quite a bit of footage for his adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel, The Great Gatsby, the latest trailer from Interscope Geffen A&M Records shines the spotlight on Fergie’s jazzy and electronic contribution to the film’s soundtrack. And in case you missed it, I’ve also embedded the previous trailers featuring snippets, and quick cuts to the sounds of Beyonce and Andre 3000’s cover of the late Amy Winehouse’s milestone song “Back to Black.” That video also features Lana Del Rey’s appropriately titled “Young & Beautiful” and Florence + The Machine’s “Over the Love.” Set for a May 10 release and a run at Cannes, The Great Gatsby stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the enigmatic millionaire and Toby Maguire as Nick Carraway, a Midwestern transplant who becomes drawn into DiCaprio’s mysterious past and lavish lifestyle. Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Jason Clarke, and Isla Fisher also star.
