‘Oblivion’, the Joseph Kosinski-Tom Cruise science fiction collaboration, gets a new trailer

Tom Cruise in Oblivion

While Joseph Kosinski gained the attention of the film community with his directorial debut TRON: Legacy in 2010, graphic novel fans have been familiar with him since 2005, when he began writing Oblivion. Following the release of the sequel to 1982’s TRON, many fans felt that Kosinski would be the best choice to take over directorial duties for the film adaptation of the graphic novel, a choice the studios and Kosinski himself agreed with. Kosinski also co-wrote the screenplay for the film, also called Oblivion, with Last Resort co-creator Karl Gajdusek and Toy Story 3 scribe Michael Arndt. A new trailer for the movie, which stars Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman, has now been released, and can be seen below.
