‘Oblivion’, the newest Tom Cruise starring science fiction movie, gets its first trailer

Director Joseph Kosinski made a splash with his debut film, 2010’s TRON: Legacy, a highly anticipated sequel to the 1982 cult classic TRON. Despite mixed reviews, many were excited to learn that Kosinski would stay within the science fiction realm for his next project, an adaptation of a graphic novel co-written by Kosinski. Titled Oblivion, Kosinski takes on co-screenwriting duties for this project as well, sharing the responsibility with The Departed scribe William Monahan, Toy Story 3 writer Michael Arndt, and Last Resort co-creator Karl Gajdusek. The movie, which stars Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo, Zoe Bell, Nicholaj Coster-Waldau, and Olga Kurylenko, has now released its first trailer, which can be seen below.
