While HBO is best known for its numerous critically acclaimed television programs, the cable channel also regularly produces and airs movies that garner their fair share of critical praise and awards, such as 2009’s Grey Gardens and 2012’s Game Change. This has left many interested in seeing their films, interest that is compounded by the fact that they often draw big names to their projects. Their latest feature, about the life of record producing legend Phil Spector titled Phil Spector, is no different, assembling a cast that includes Al Pacino in the titular role, alongside Helen Mirren and Jeffrey Tambor, with David Mamet taking on screenwriting and directing duties. A trailer for the film has now been released, and can be seen below.

This movie looks good, but, you can tell that it is pro-Phil because they could use Phil’s music. But if you want to see a protrayal of the murder that doesn’t take sides and probably rancors both Phil and Lana’s supporters.
