Pixar has hit a rough patch as critical darlings with a handful of entries like Cars 2, Monsters University and Brave that failed to live up to the studio’s high standards. But their latest original story idea may be the boost they need. Inside Out is Pete Docter’s first film since 2009’s Up, and it’s a look inside the mind of a little girl at the personification of her emotions, Joy, Fear, Sadness, Anger and Disgust. Docter developed the story from the perspective of a parent, and here’s hoping it’s a treat for parents and kids alike. The film has a more star studded cast than Pixar usually assembles, including Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, Amy Poehler, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith. Inside Out releases June 19, 2015.
