The Green Mountain Falls Lodge was built over 100 years ago, and was recently fully refurbished.  This makes it a fun place to stay, with the feel of being on the frontier, but with added modern amenities.  The remodel took place starting in 2015 and the family utilized as much reclaimed materials as possible.  There are nine rooms available, many of which include Jacuzzi tubs.  There is a deck that goes around three sides of the building, offering views of the surrounding mountains.  There are many hiking trails and dining options in Green Mountain Falls, as well as a lovely park with a lake.

In addition to all of these lodging options, there are many properties and rooms listed on Airbnb, Homeaway, VRBO, and similar sites.  I also wanted to mention that they are almost finished building a brand new Microtel Inn and Suites by Windham right next door to the Woodland Park Country Lodge in the downtown area.  This will be another viable option for lodging when it opens soon.

Marie grew up in the Colorado Springs area, moved away as a young adult, and then moved back with her husband to raise their children.  Marie and her family enjoy going up to Woodland Park often to go hiking, fishing, boating, camping, and to simply relish in the cool mountain air.
