The teaser trailer for the final sequel in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: Afterlife, has just been released this weekend. It looks like everything it’s expected to be, but characters from the games have a bigger presence like Chris Redfield and Albert Wesker. Either way you look at it, this film won’t be something outstanding and just something to mindlessly enjoy like the rest of them, but Paul W.S. Anderson is back directing this final chapter having only directed the first one; in my opinion the best one so far. Doesn’t look like they held anything back as there is a familiar sequence that looks like they stole from The Matrix Reloaded. Oh well, they do mention to having used the 3D technology that James Cameron created for Avatar.
In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.
