One of the more well-regarded comedies to emerge from the 2014-2015 television season was the British series Catastrophe. Making its debut in the UK on Channel 4 first before coming to the US via Amazon Prime in June, the show follows the trials and tribulations of a couple whose one-week stand results in an unexpected pregnancy, causing one of them to move and attempt a relationship.
The second season, initially slated for early 2016, will now be making its debut on Channel 4 in the UK in October. Series stars and co-creators Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan are onboard once again, with Horgan declaring that she intends to work on both this series and her upcoming HBO show Divorce. Carrie Fisher and Ashley Jensen are also poised to return for the show’s second season, and ahead of its premiere, a trailer has now been released. Catastrophe will return to the UK on October 27th at 10 pm on Channel 4, with Amazon’s release plans yet to be announced. The trailer can be seen below.
