Updating a campy old ’60s spy show starring Robert Vaughn and David McCallum, Guy Ritchie brings you The Man from U.N.C.L.E., a slick, frenetic action comedy that has Ritchie’s name all over it whether its set in early 20th Century London for Sherlock Holmes or on the tough London streets for one of his early British gangster pics. This time he’s recreating the ’60s flair by recruiting Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) and Armie Hammer (The Social Network), one an American spy and the other a KGB operative each tasked to work together and foil the plot of a mysterious criminal organization harboring nuclear weapons.
