Over the course of its run, the NBC series Hannibal has received critical acclaim from numerous quarters, establishing Bryan Fuller as another force in television following his critical success with shows such as Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies. Based on the characters created by Thomas Harris, with the titular character having been previously brought onscreen by the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Brian Cox, and Gaspard Ulliel, this series puts Casino Royale‘s Mads Mikkelsen in the role of Dr. Lecter, with Hugh Dancy playing Will Graham.
Shortly after the show’s third season began, NBC announced that they would be cancelling the show following the end of the season. With many fans lamenting the show’s imminent demise, the series held a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, where they unveiled a look at another major character from the novels and movies, that of Francis Dolarhyde, aka Red Dragon. The character has previously been played by Tom Noonan and Ralph Fiennes, and for the NBC series, Richard Armitage steps into the role. At the panel, a video was released which examines Dolarhyde, and which can be seen below.
