Robert Kirkman may just have the magic touch. Given the ever-growing success of The Walking Dead, it’s not surprising that the TV adaptation to Kirkman’s next comic should be made before the first issue is even published. The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead isn’t the only television series he’s producing to be represented at this year’s Comic-Con. Kirkman’s new Cinemax show, Outcast had its very own panel today which revealed the first trailer for the 10-episode series. After making waves with his tale of a zombie apocalypse, the writer is trying his hand at a different horror genre – Outcast focuses on Kyle Barnes a young man who has dealt with demonic possession his entire life. Barnes teams up with Reverend Anderson, a man with his own sort of demons, to find answers about the curse that plagues him, but what he discovers could have dire consequences for himself and the world. With the Adam Wingard (You’re Next) directed pilot kicking things off, Outcast is sure to be a huge hit. Watch the trailer below. Enjoy!
Synopsis: Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous, Gone Girl) stars as Barnes, a man searching for answers, and for redemption, who sequesters himself from those he loves for fear of causing greater hurt.
