Tarantino’s “The Hateful Eight” gets a new trailer

The Hateful Eight

Quentin Tarantino, despite having only a handful of films to his credit, has become one of the most well-known filmmakers working today, with many of his films ending up at or near the top of critics’ end of year lists on the year of their release, and several that continue to be well-regarded.

Fans of the filmmaker, however, nearly didn’t get his latest feature. Tarantino’s first film since 2012, titled The Hateful Eight, had its script leaked, causing Tarantino to halt pre-production on the film before staging a live read of the script and then deciding to resume the pre-production process.

The film itself, once again written and directed by Tarantino, stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth, and Jennifer Jason Leigh, with Ennio Morricone providing an original score. The synopsis is as follows.

In post-Civil War Wyoming, bounty hunters try to find shelter during a blizzard but get involved in a plot of betrayal and deception. Will they survive?

With the film opening on a limited release on December 25th in American theatres before expanding to a wide release in American and Canadian theatres on January 8th, a new trailer has now been released, and can be seen below.
