Teaser Trailer: Cameron Crowe’s ‘Pearl Jam Twenty’
I’ve always been a fan of director Cameron Crowe, ever since I saw John Cusak raise his boombox stereo outside Ione Skye’s bedroom window in Say Anything. The director has always been known for carefully inserting the best song choices in his film, making for some of the best soundtracks in recent memory. Of course you would expect such a thing from a man who used to write for Rolling Stone magazine. This year he has kept busy, premiering his Elton John documentary The Union at the recent Tribeca Film Festival, and he’s almost finished wrapping up the Matt Damon dramedy We Bought A Zoo. But if that’s not enough Crowe for you, you can add his music documentary Pearl Jam Twenty to the list of things to see.
A teaser trailer has just been released for the film which takes a look back at the history of the iconic alt-rock band. Apparently the film was assembled from 18 to 20 hours of material from the band’s career as well as footage Cameron Crowe has shot over the last year and a half.
Here is the trailer.
