“The Counsellor”, Ridley Scott and Cormac McCarthy’s collaboration, releases its first trailer

The Counsellor

While writer Cormac McCarthy has been known by many for his novels, it wasn’t until 2000’s All the Pretty Horses that film fans began to take note of his work. 2007’s No Country For Old Men, the Coen Brothers’ adaptation of his novel, however, was McCarthy’s breakthrough in Hollywood, and fans of both his film adaptations and his novels were soon excited to hear that he was working on an original screenplay. Ridley Scott takes the directorial reins on the film, titled The Counsellor, and it stars Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, John Leguizamo, Dean Norris, and Natalie Dormer. The first trailer for the film has now been released, and can be seen below.
