‘The Equalizer’, Antoine Fuqua’s remake of the 80s tv series, gets three new clips

THe Equalizer

A number of television series have recently been adapted for the big screen in some incarnation or the other, from 2005’s Starsky & Hutch to 2010’s The A-Team. The latest in the series is The Equalizer, which ran for four seasons and featured Edward Woodward in the lead role. The feature film, which has the same title, sees Denzel Washington step into the role of Robert McCall, reuniting him with director Antoine Fuqua, both of whom previously worked together on 2001’s Training Day. The movie, which sees McCall come out of a degree of retirement to tussle with the Russian mob, is written by Richard Wenk, and sees Washington star alongside Chloë Moretz, Melissa Leo, and Bill Pullman. With the film set to open in American theatres on September 26th, following a screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, three new clips have been released, focusing on Washington’s McCall. The clips can be seen below.
