Week after week, the shelves of local comic book stores nationwide are packed to brim with shiny new comics. Sure you’re a smart cookie and probably have tonnes of grabs already but many books do go unnoticed and its my job to make sure you are getting your moneys worth. I could ramble on for a bit but I sincerely doubt you’re still reading this paragraph and have long since scrolled down to the good bits– SO without further to do, enjoy and note this is preference, what’s exciting to me may not be exciting to you and hey friend, I’m OK with that:
True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys #6 | Pick of the Week
This is it Sunshine! We’ve rounded the final corner and the finish line is it sight! My personal choice for series of the year finally hits its explosive conclusion. If you haven’t been following then that just means your one step closer till the trade is released.
This detective story is written by Paul Jenkins, the creator of Fairy Quest, and sports some spectacular art from the one and only Humberto Ramos. It’s a century spanning, religious conspiracy spouting thrill ride and one that shouldn’t be overlooked!
Most people are really hoping that this issue just doesn’t suck. Yet faith has been wavering since Marc Andreyko’s less than stellar debut last issue. Free from any Zero Year ties however, we can all hope the team can turn things around for their proper debut.
Bill Willingham has taken some of your favourite pulp comic heroes and put them through a steam-punk blender. Vampirella, Green Hornet, The Phantom, Flash Gordon, the gang’s all here in what will no doubt be a fun filled adventure. Knowing Willingham though, some blood will undoubtedly be shed.
