Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are back. Toy Story 3 follows the gang who is dropped off at a day-care center after their owner, Andy departs for college. Unfortunately John Lasseter will not be returning to the directors chair nor is he participating on the screenplay. Penning the screenplay is Michael Arndt, writer of Little Miss Sunshine and taking on the task as director is Lee Unkrich who spent years co-directing other Pixar hits including Toy Story 2 and Finding Nemo. Apparently instead of sending Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and John Ratzenberger scripts for their consideration in reprising their roles, a complete story reel of the film was shown to the actors in a theater. The reel was made up of moving storyboards with pre-recorded voices, sound effects, and music. At the conclusion of the preview, the actors signed on to the film.
