Telltale Games has released the first trailer for their upcoming episodic Back to the Future video games which gives us a hint of what to expect in the first episode. The trailer doesn’t show off any gameplay but it establishes that the new story is set several months after the events of the third movie from Marty’s perspective.

Telltale announced its intention to revive the classic 80’s films as a video game series earlier this year. Through a licensing agreement with Universal Studios, the maker of contemporary adventure games also has a Jurassic Park title in the works. The new Back to the Future game, planned for all major platforms, will feature Christopher Lloyd reprising his role as Doc Brown and Lloyd will likely be recording new dialogue. Unfortunately Michael J Fox was unavailable so newcomer A.J. LoCascio is voicing Marty McFly. The first game (which is released next month on PC and Mac, later on for PS3 and iPad) will follow the further adventures of Marty McFly, and take place six months after the end of Back to the Future Part III.

Recently Sound On Sight Radio dedicated an entire hour to the Back To The Future franchise. It has already climbed its way to the top of our list of most popular podcast. Take a listen.
