Well this is a strange one. The trailer for German director Wim Wenders’ new film Pina has arrived and it looks stunning. The 3D dance film has been in the works for a while now but was initially halted when the legendary choreographer Pina Bausch passed away during early stages of production. Bausch, who is often credited with having revolutionized modern dance, died after being diagnosed with cancer only days earlier. She was 68 years’ old. She had been preparing the film project with Wenders, which is the first dance film shot in 3-D. The film now completed, features a number of her pieces, including “Café Muller,” “Sacre Du Printemps,” “Vollmond” and “Kontakthof.” The film premieres out of competition at the upcoming Berlinale in February.
