It all began when a Dutch storyboard artist, title designer and well established commercial and music video director named Richard Raaphorst was trying to get a project off the ground called Worst Case Scenario. Unfortunately he never got to make his zombie film, but some of you may remember seeing some of the teaser clips he produced to help pitch the idea.
Fast forward a few years and he is directing Frankenstein’s Army, a new take of the undead, in which a Nazi army uses the technology of Doctor Frankenstein to reanimate undead troops for battle. The founder and EIC of Twitch magazine, Todd Brown is a producer on the film, and they just recently released a plot synopsis and teaser trailer. Here it is. Enjoy.
Official plot synopsis:
Toward the end of World War II, Russian soldiers pushing into eastern Germany stumble across a secret Nazi lab, one that has unearthed and begun experimenting with the journal of one Dr. Victor Frankenstein. The scientists have used the legendary Frankenstein’s work to assemble an army of super soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades – a desperate Hitler’s last ghastly ploy to escape defeat.
