Among one of the critical successes in original programming for streaming service Netflix has been the show Orange Is The New Black. Created by former Weeds showrunner Jenji Kohan and based on the memoir by Piper Kerman, the show has garnered praise in numerous circles, with Primetime Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Award wins to its name.
With the show, which is set in a women’s prison, set to return for a third season, the cast has now released a video where they sing Stop, Don’t Talk to Me. The song, which was released in 2014 and sung by Tre Coast and Lycia Faith, was itself inspired by a Season two episode of Orange Is The New Black, in which Emma Myles’ Leanne taught the opening lyrics to a fellow inmate, complete with accompanying hand gestures. The video can be seen below, with the original clip at the end, and offers fans of the show a first look at some new castmembers as well. Orange Is The New Black‘s third season will be released on Netflix in its entirety on June 12th.
