Nominated for Best Animated Short at the 85th Academy Awards, this 10-minute stop motion animation premiered in 2012 at the Cannes Film Festival and won Oscar-qualifying grand prizes at Anima Mundi, Heartland Film Festival, and Austin Film Festival. Head Over Heels is a graduate work from Timothy Reckart, who produced the effort at the National Film And Television School in London. The film is clearly the underdog but it still very much deserves the nomination.

Synopsis: After many years of marriage, Walter and Madge have grown apart: he lives on the floor and she lives on the ceiling. When Walter tries to reignite their old romance, their equilibrium comes crashing down, and the couple that can’t agree which way is up must find a way put their marriage back together.

Is this really the right film? The photo doesn’t match with the film, and in the text it says that it’s 10 minutes long, but the film above is only 05:48
