Chris Hardwick, once best known as the host of MTV dating show Singled Out alongside Jenny McCarthy, has in recent years seen his profile grow significantly, starting the Nerdist podcast and growing it into a brand that now includes multiple podcasts, a website, and a movie distribution arm, among numerous other things. Hardwick himself has also become more prominent independent of the Nerdist brand, hosting both Talking Dead and the now-ended Talking Bad on AMC, as well as the @midnight show on Comedy Central.
Throughout all his endeavours, Hardwick has made no secret of his love for all aspects of geeky pop culture, one of which involves the Marvel comic series Fantastic Four, and its film adaptations, the newest of which is poised to hit theatres this Friday. Now a “lost audition tape” has been released by Comedy Central, showing Hardwick’s attempt to become the fifth member of the team by trying to get the approval of lead castmembers Kate Mara, Miles Teller, Jamie Bell, and Michael B. Jordan. The video can be seen below.
