Watch the creepy teaser for Sundance short film ‘World of Tomorrow’

Short films don’t typically get this much press outside of Oscar season and Disney shorts before a Pixar movie, but when your movie is a 16-minute, mind-bending, animated head trip directed by Don Hertzfeldt, it’s bound to sink in. World of Tomorrow won the Grand Jury Prize in the Short Film category at this year’s Sundance and will now be made available on VOD via bitterfilms.com on March 31. Hertzfeldt’s short is the story of a little girl named Emily shown her future and how humanity has evolved due to technology. The animation style falls in line with his critically acclaimed feature It’s Such a Beautiful Day and his fairly disturbed couch gag for The Simpsons.
