Back to The Future will celebrate its 30th anniversary on October 21, and Universal Studios is doing everything in their power to remind us of the big event. Yes folks, October 21, 2015 is the day that Marty and Doc go to in the future, as seen in Back to the Future Part II and in order to promote the upcoming BluRay release, Universal has released the official teaser trailer for Jaws 19.
Fans of the series should recognize the reference. When Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) arrives in the future (in Robert Zemeckis’ 1989 sequel Back to the Future Part II), one of the first things he notices is an aggressive marketing display for Jaws 19, a film directed by Max Spielberg that is screening at the local Holomax theater.
The Jaws 19 commercial isn’t the only fun video released. Universal has also created a short film featuring Christopher Lloyd reprising his role as Doc Brown — and earlier today, Pepsi announced that they are finally delivering their long-awaited Pepsi Perfect soda. All three videos are embedded below for your entertainment, along with my personal favourite, an ad for the video game Lego Dimensions, which also features Christopher Lloyd reprising his famous role. Enjoy!
