All those cinephiles out there wondering what is going to make the cut in time for next year’s Oscars can accurately forecast that more easily, now that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the integral dates for film’s biggest night. Similar to this year, the announcement of the nominations will be on Tuesday January 24, 2012 and the coveted golden statues will be given out and televised on the 84th edition of the Academy Awards on February 26, 2012 in its usual Sunday position.
It might feel as if this year’s awards just happened and next year is still 8 months away but it’s never too early to nail down some good Oscar contenders flowing out from now until then. A list of the other notable dates surrounding the awards is below.
