Dark Souls II: The Lost Crowns
From Software
Namco Bandai
PS3, Xbox 360, PC
Cursed undead rejoice! From Software and Namco Bandai have just announced not one but three episodes of DLC, and all to be released over the course of the next four months.
Contrary to earlier reports that the Dark Souls sequel would not be having any DLC whatsoever, and after it took nearly a year to release the DLC for the original Dark Souls, this is news which is both surprising and invigorating.
The overall title for the expansion is The Lost Crowns. The first episode, The Crown of the Sunken King, is set for release on July 22, with the two followups, The Crown of the Old Iron King and The Crown of the Ivory King, set for release on August 26 and September 24 respectively.
If the high benchmark set by the DLC package for the original game, Artorias of the Abyss, is anything to go by, than we can expect a hugely satisfying expansion to both the world and the lore of Dark Souls II.
So, citizens of Drangleic, starting on July 22, prepare to die all over again.
