A Lot of Looking Up To The Skies and Screams In The First ‘Conan the Barbarian’ TV Spot

Apparently several major studios including Warner Bros. spent 7 years trying to get this project off the ground, with development attempts made by Larry and Andy Wachowski, John Milius, Robert Rodriguez, Boaz Yakin and even Brett Ratner. Finally in June 2009 it was revealed Marcus Nispel would take the reins as director to the film with Sean Hood later announced to be rewriting the script. The good news is, that after the long wait, Nispel seems to do a great job with the sword and sandal action sequences. The bad news is, that after all those years, the casting seems all wrong and the acting looks atrocious. Here’s a new TV spot. Enjoy!

Nothing actually came of the 7-year Warner Brothers project: they lost the license a few years ago. This film is made by Millenium and Lionsgate, and production started only a few years ago. It has nothing to do with the Warner Brothers film.
