Twilight was the toast of the MTV Movie Awards winning five major prizes. But who gives a shit. Sacha Baron Cohen just tea bagged Eminem. Now that’s what I want more of at my awards shows. Yes, the bit is ripped off from a similar stunt by Howard Stern pulled at the VMA’s some while ago. And Cohen is no Stern. And yes the whole Eminem walking out thing does all appear to be scripted after a 2nd viewing. But that’s ok I still find it funny as hell because there is still a part of my brain that hasn’t developed since I was 11. And a part of me still wants to think that Eminem truely got served. Well decide for yourself:

2009 MTV Movie Awards: Brüno Presents Best Male Performance

THE CLASSVariety reports that Nicole Kidman’s replacement in Woody Allen’s yet to be titled 2010 film is the unexpected choice of rising star Lucy Punch. The actress’ most notable role was 2004’s Being Julia opposite Annette Bening. Her other credits include Hot Fuzz and the forthcoming Young Americans. As far as details go, the role is one of a high class hooker, much along the lines of the Elliot Spitzer type. And with Allen’s latest track record with actresses, Lucy Punch may get the same break that Rebecca Hall got in last year’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona. The rest of the film’s cast includes Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Bandares, and Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto. Kidman had to drop the role last minute due to scheduling conflicts with John Cameron Mitchell’s much anticipated The Rabbit Hole, a film she is also producing.

portmanNatalie Portman has joined the cast of the Universal comedy Your Highness. The film reteams much of the old Pineapple Express gang: Danny McBride James Franco and director David Gordon Green. Variety reports that filming is set to begin in Ireland next month. McBride penned the script (along with Eastbound and Down costar with Ben Best) and will play a lazy prince who, along with his brother, must save their kingdom and his brother’s fiancée. Portman will star as a warrior princess and the prince’s love interest. Portman has quite a lot on her plate these days. She just wrapped filming on Don Roos’ Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, due out next year, and will also be featured in Jim Sheridan’s Brothers alongside Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal. That film is due for a release in December of this year.
