First Great Image of the Red Skull from ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’
The Red Skull is a name shared by several fictional characters, all supervillains from the Marvel Comics universe. The first two Red Skulls were Nazi agents and the third is a Communist. The Red Skull was first introduced in Captain America Comics #1 in 1941 and is known as the heroes most famous villain ranking number 21 on Wizard Magazine’s Top 100 Greatest Villains Ever list and was also ranked as IGN’s 14th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time. Fans caught a glimpse of the character in the latest trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger, but now Marvel and Entertainment Weekly have teamed up to release a proper look of Hugo Weaving in the full Red Skull makeup, and he looks perfect. Captain America: The First Avenger is shaping up to have the potential of being one of the best blockbusters of the year. Let’s hope it lives up to all the hype.
