“We’re gonna need a bigger boat.”
Easily one of the most recognizable films of all-time, Jaws will be coming back to theaters this summer for special screenings to commemorate the movie’s 40th anniversary.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fathom Events will screen Jaws on Sunday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time in theaters around the country. The screenings feature an introduction from TCM Weekend Daytime host Ben Mankiewic.
Jaws is credited as the very first blockbuster, leading to the rise of the type of film with Rocky in 1976 and Star Wars in 1977. It also was the breakout film for director Steven Spielberg, who is now recognized as one of the best directors working today.
