Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Is Making A Big Comeback

Paramount Pictures has announced who the screenwriters will be for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. According to HeatVision, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man, Punisher: War Zone) have signed on to pen the new feature which is in development with Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes. Paramount and Nickelodeon picked up the rights to the comic book characters for around $60 million last year. The companies plan to push out the characters not only in movie form but via a TV show and other mediums.

The fictional team of four anthropomorphic turtles initially appeared in comic books before being licensed for toys, cartoons, video games, films, and other merchandise. During the peak of its popularity in the late 1980s through early 1990s, the franchise gained considerable worldwide success and fame. Aside from the comic book, it has had three animated television series (and counting), four feature films, one live action television series, an exclusive two-episode anime OVA series, several toy lines, video games, concert tours and even various food tie-ins. All I have to say is, Go Ninja, Go Ninja, Go!
