During its E32015 presentation, EA announced Unravel, a charming, heart-felt, puzzle-platformer from Swedish developer Coldwood Interactive. No release date was given, but the game is available through EA’s Origin service on PC for $20.

The trailer showcases a small character that is created by yarn. The developers at Coldwood Interactive really put emotion response at the forefront of their development and it really shows. The yarn can be used to traverse the many environmental puzzles and fixing yourself to a kite among others.

The reveal of Unravel was a incredible moment during the conference, showing a moment of true emotion and feeling during an event that is mostly filled with guns and excess. While there certainly is a great bit of whimsy in the trailer, perhaps the adventure will be far more sorrowful, but that won’t stop it from being great.
