Have you been waiting patiently for more Avatar movies since the first one came out in 2009? Well, you will have your fill in the coming years as James Cameron looks to possibly add more adventures to the predicted slate of films.

Hey U Guys caught up with the composer of the films, James Horner, who revealed that Cameron may have plans for another film on top of the four that he initially announced. As of now, the sequel to Avatar is set to open in theaters in 2017.

“He’s got four sequels script-wise, and he’s trying to make it into three,” Horner said. “And I think that’s where the effort is going right now […] how do you keep it from expanding into a fifth movie?”

It is funny to think that more of these movies are on the way and have taken so long to get off the ground. We tend to forget that Avatar is currently the highest grossing movie in history, even more than Titanic, The Dark Knight, The Avengers, and Frozen. While most franchises would move quickly to bring more content to the screen, it seems like Cameron will be taking his time and adding more to the possible schedule.

On top of that, it seems like Cirque du Soleil will prepare fans for a return to Pandora with a prequel show, titled TORUK- The First Flight.

According to the press release, the show envisions a world beyond imagination set thousands of years before the events depicted in the film. The word Toruk, in the Na’vi language, refers to the great leonopteryx, the mighty red and orange predator that rules the Pandoran sky. Central in Na’vi lore and culture, this fascinating creature is crucial to the Na’vi clans’ sense of destiny and interconnectedness – and is about to be ridden for the very first time by a Na’vi.
